How to finish:
1.
Lightly mask wall at lower edge of molding to protect the wall.
2.
Follow texture paint application instructions carefully.
3.
Apply textured paint with a nylon paint brush to ensure uniform
distribution. Work on no more than 8’ at a time.
4.
Roll slowly back and forth with a slightly damp textured
roller
to duplicate adjacent textured ceiling consistency
or desired effect. Rolling
crosswise
will improve appearance.
5.
Carefully remove masking tape immediately after completion,
while texture is still damp to avoid marring
wall surfaces. Let dry
48
hours. Finish if necessary
with latex base paint.
6.
With a light texture finish, joints may be noticeable for 8
to 10 hours until dry. A slightly heavier
application of texture
at
these
points may eliminate
this problem more quickly. If joints are still noticeable, a
second touch up coat may be applied.
Usually this will blend
in perfectly.
7.
Apply a light texture finish if you want the molding detail
to remain prominent. This is especially significant
in high ceiling
installations.
